Hands-on hardware builder accelerating OpenAI's robotics prototyping lab

OpenAI's Robotics team is hiring an in-person (SF, 5 days/week) prototyping lab technician to build, troubleshoot, and rework electromechanical robotic systems — fixtures, wire harnesses, custom electronics — in close partnership with hardware and software engineers. This interview tests hands-on hardware fabrication skill, troubleshooting rigor, and comfort operating as a generalist in a fast-iterating lab environment, not research or coding depth.
